Buster Box
Objective
To rebrand a discontinued corporation and reinvent it in a way that feels relevant today. I reimagined Blockbuster so that it would resonate with today’s audiences and consumer habits. I positioned the brand as Buster Box, combining the comfort of nostalgia with the convenience of modern subscription culture.
Approach
The design of Buster Box leans into the vibrant yellow that defined Blockbuster’s legacy, paired with black and white to make the system feel cleaner and contemporary. I created packaging for the subscription box and developed supporting materials like social media ads and promotional visuals. The new identity balances playful nostalgia with a modern edge.
